Chargers Win the First Round

They sat tight and drafted their QB of the future without having to trade up.
6-6, 236, 4.6 40.

That Murray pick was nice (and pricey), but Herbert?

LMAO

Brand new stadium, same ole Chargers

Herbert at 6 seems pretty good.
Who else would they have picked there? It was a no brainer and didn't cost them anything.

Herbert is a guaranteed career backup. I have seen enough tape of him to be sure of that. The Murray pick was excellent though.

As a Chiefs fan I definitely loved that pick by the Chargers. A subpar QB with “potential” is definitely someone Lynn and Tyrod Taylor can groom into carrying on the struggles for years to come.

Remember what we did to Ryan Leaf? That's what we are going to do to Herbert.

I bet they're the Super Bowl favorite out of the AFC West

Not sold on Herbert and your coach looks like the dad from Dinosaurs

I think they would have been better off taking simmons with their first pick and love with their second. But if people want to believe the bolts are the offseason champs, yet again, fine by me.

BryanBusby 04-24-2020 12:18 AM

They had a top 10 pick largely because they had no left tackle so they reached for a QB and blew the rest of their early picks to draft a LB that can't play Left Tackle.

At least they didn't blow the deepest OT in a long time...oh wait. I have no idea why people like what they did.

I don't agree re: Herbert.
A year behind Tyrod should be very valuable.

BryanBusby 04-24-2020 12:20 AM

He's gonna start Week 3 because Tyrod is glass and they have no left tackle

My thought was the Chargers got Bulaga to protect Tua's blind side, (he's a lefty), We'll see what happens from here for the LT.
