Doug Whaley gets extra credit due to his propensity to forward "inappropriate" emails to assistant coaches who decide to forward them to league execs... :)

Yes he was in the running for the Seahawks GM gig until they hired Carroll.

From what I understand, he took his name out of the running there as the Ravens are making a push to guarantee him the GM job once Newsome steps aside, which is getting closer to reality apparently. He was mentioned here as a possibility last year and would have been my first or second choice, definitely preferred him over Polian's kid.

The other guy rumored was Mark Dominik. who I wasn't too sure about. He probably keeps Herm around if he got hired. Whether he's going to be a good GM or not, we'll see, but Tampa wasn't very good either last year...

You will hear about it tomorrow as BRC and I have said since last night. He's agreed to come, but wants a nice financial package, which Clark is going to give.

Not possible, I keep hearing that Clark is a cheapskate, and doesn't care about this team. Is Romeo going to do some sidework for the soccer team, or what?

I chose all of those b/c they are available now.

Had you asked me last year, I would have had the same GM choices, Shanahan as a HC choice, or a package deal of Schwartz and Chuck Cecil as HC DC.

Just Curious. When one of your students asks a question that you feel he should know the answer to, do you call him a fuqin moron?

40 years no super bowl appearance.

Carl Peterson 5 year plan worked for the Chiefs for 20 years.

You don't know what you're talking about shut the **** up.

88-93 was nice. We won playoff games! :)

The problem was he had no 10 year plan when he started, or 20 year plan. He should have been canned around 95 when was out of ideas.

Carl should have been fired when Marty left. He was given a blank check and set this franchise back years. Lamar Hunt wouldn't fire his friends thats why the Chiefs had such horrible drafts.

Just my 2cents (and yes hamas, I know it's not worth two cents to you)

Weis>Philbin, Shelmon, Jackson

Crennel>>>>>>McDermott

I'll give/take a mulligan on the others.

Nice Hamas impression.

Too bad you're credentials are way too shot to pull it off for real.

I mean you still have a picture of Mike Brown. Are you trying to remind everyone of how absolutely wrong you were?

Let's not debate the facts that were presented or anything.

That's why he's avoiding the question.

He realized something was up, did a quick search and found that I've said next to nothing about Crennell, (nothing more than that I'm not as excited as I am about Weis) and am actually pretty pleased about the Weis hire.

Another classic case of lumping people together instead of actually reading and comprehending what people have to say.

you know what they say...guilt by association

when you follow the same band around all year and slap hands and talk about how awesome you are and how smart you are about football...

you are bound to be lumped in with the same ****ing people...

I still consider Dane/OTWP/Hamas to be the same poster...Mecca is a strange breed...I think he truly has his own opinions though he is a cynic...and I truly believe he knows a SHIT TON about college football (unlike the other 3)...which is why the other 3 don't ever call him out...if he disagrees with them they just avoid it because they don't want to get clowned by someone who knows more than them...even though I don't think Mecca would ever call out Hamas...

It's obvious you have no clue what the **** you are talking about.

How are the Hunts not responsible for the mess this franchise is in? Go ahead i'm waiting.
