D. Bowe is the Debbil!

Ok was just looking at Bowe's stats when I checked out his yardage total....

http://www.nfl.com/players/dwaynebow...e?id=BOW091822

10 10 55 666 12.1 36 5

So now the question is...does this mean he is cursed the next game? or that he will bring in some dark power to have a monster game against buf? :) To bad he doesn't have 66 catches and 6 touchdowns.

Yeah, I noticed this yesterday.

The craziest thing about receivers from that draft is that Steve Breaston is on par with Ted Ginn Jr. And they're both not crappy!!! Who woulda thunk it! Breaston, a 5th rounder, and Ginn, the funniest pick of the draft.... and their both pretty good!! WOAHH!!!

So what are the chances of D-Bowe getting 1000yds this season? I'd say pretty good if he can keep up 60 yds or more per game! I'd love to see his "sophmore slump" be a 1000yd season. Just makes me more excited about this kid..PBJ:rockon:

Bowe still has way more potential if he gets his head out of his ass on those dropsies

Bowe needs just 56 yards per game for his first (should be his second) 1,000-yard season.

Next year he needs to make the jump and be a 1,300-yard/10 TD type Receiver.
Shoring up the drops will help him do that.

Yep, as will having a competent QB and a decent receiver opposite him - whether it be Bradley or someone else.

Things he hasn't had thus far in his career.

and when Tony retires, Cottam is looking like he can be a pretty good recieving tight end

As long as he can stay healthy..This was the one draft choice I had a legitimate concern over this year. His injury history is terrible.:(

Looks as though he may have them now.
I'm actually quite impressed with how he came by what looks to be a 1,000-yard season. He was able to produce in the early part of the season despite a horrible offense and a carousel of QB's.

Me too.

If this kid can find a cure for the dropsies, there's no reason he's not a 1300/10 guy.

He's been his own worst enemy thus far.
If he just hauls in the passes he's supposed to catch he'll be a monster.
At times it looks like he's playing football with kids.
He's that good. But he has to put his head down and go to work.
I wish we had a savvy veteran he could learn from.

Hopefully Gonzalez will stay and teach him what it takes to go from being a good player to a great one. It's the little things.

But I know Bowe has a great deal of respect for Gonzo so we may see that happen.

Maybe he can make a deal with the devil to get rid of his drop-a-doos.

This is a little off topic, but after reading some of the posts, i got to wondering...Is 1000 yards really that impressive nowadays?
That is only 62 yds/game.

Honestly, not really.

But considering he's a 2nd year guy, and plays in a terrible offense, it looks much better than it would if he played elsewhere.

There are usually 20-25 guys who hit 1000 yards.

There are usually 8-10 guys that eclipse 1200.

I personally think that 1200-1300 is the benchmark for a WR1.
