If You Were An Elite NFL Player Would You Sign A Contract Extension Or Play It Out?
The Packers are about to extend Aaron Rodgers' contract from his existing 65 mil contract, making him the highest paid NFL player. They want to extend him before his contract runs out, I guess they think they will save money.
Last year Drew Brees played his contract out and signed the biggest NFL deal at the time, after he broke Dan Marino's 27 year old single season passing record. Joe Flacco just won the Super Bowl on his contract year, a perfect scenario to cash in on. Guess it's sort of like coming out of college early or staying in to get your degree and then coming out. If you were an elite QB or an elite NFL player of any other position would you want to sign a contract extension or take a chance and play it out? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100...ty-for-packers <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/kbn8L3Y-v4M" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
I'll tell you what I'd do, man: two chicks at the same time, man. Damn straight. I always wanted to do that, man. And I think if I were a millionaire I could hook that up, too; 'cause chicks dig dudes with money.

Take the extension if it's making me the leagues highest paid player. Never know what's gonna happen. I'd push for guaranteed money.

Take guaranteed money.

They're talking about giving Rodgers 25 mil per year over 4 years. Maybe 70 mil guaranteed. |

Rodgers is severely underpaid, of course he takes the new contract.
As should anyone. |
"Guaranteed money" trumps "money I may get" 100 times out of 100

Show me the money.
