I believe there is a lot of smoke between Fescoe and this. Where there's smoke, there's usually fire. And didn't Wright get the Haley firing right last year? And Fescoe broke something earlier this year, too, IIRC.

Which 2 concerns? QB? HC? or what we all hope for GM? If he replaces the GM then the new one will take care of our other 2 concerns.

Yeah this is all super but until I see these "changes" I ain't buying in on any of this crap.

We gave 3 big concerns. Pioli, Cassel, and RAC.

Nick Wright had info that Haley was going to be fired had they lost to the Colts. He also said Carr was gone after the season and had talked with another team. People on here called bullshit but Wright is very good friends with Carr. So the guy has sources.

2 biggest concerns? Pioli, Crennel, Cassel. Who gets the free pass?

So if this is true, he is firing Pioli. If that is true, then I doubt he is leaking it months ahead of time, which would mean it's happening now. Why would Wright say not fast enough for fans?

I put my money on Pioli getting a pass and the Chiefs start going down the NE QB depth chart like we did with SF in 90's ala Montana, Bono and Grbac...

Now you have to wonder what Clark thinks are the Chiefs two biggest concerns.
If it's candy wrappers and low parking prices...

I would say the biggest concerns are the fan base and the GM. Ridding the team of this poison of a GM will go a long way with the fan base, and a new GM will take care of the other issues we have around here (coach, QB, etc.)

The 2 biggest concerns BY FAR are Pioli and Cassel. RAC has severely dissappointed me, as he is yet another yes man, but Pioli is #1, and we absolutely cannot win w/ Cassel under center. Take care of those 2, and let's shoot for another 5-tech in teh middle of 1st round next year!!

Oh wait! Pioli is gone in this scenario, so maybe we'll get our ILB instead.

If Hunt has to step over his GM to fire the HC and QB, Pioli is a lame duck anyway. Any of the three going is bad, bad news for Pioli.

How the defense plays the rest of the season will determine if RC should be thought of to come back as D cord, his dicision making so far shows he is definately not head coach ready still.

If we want to build for the future we need to lose every meaningless game the rest of the season and draft a QB. We need to bring in someone who is good at the draft. This next draft is so important, as it could turn the Chiefs into an NFL powerhouse. I think we should get a coach who can mold the new QB IMO.

Romeo said last year if he wasn't the HC he wasn't coming back.

This idea that he'll accept a demotion is pure fantasy.

Somebody asked him for more information and he basically said that he didn't want to say anything else about it yet.

I think Clark gets a pinch of a bad rap. Don't get me wrong. I don't know what his #1 goal is. I'll admit it may very well be just to make $$.

But lets look at the history. When he hired Scott, he shelled out a ton of money for a GM and got the consensus #1 guy out there. No fault in that. He did his part.

Looks like it didn't work out. And that's fine. He took his shot. Now it's just time for Clark to try again with a new GM. If he does that, I'll be satisfied that he's trying.

If he sticks with Scott, that will completely change my opinion.

Clark hasn't run the Chiefs long enough for me to say that he's done a terrible job. His first order of business was to remove Peterson from power, which was a good move.

His second order of business was to hire the best GM available, which at the time, was Scott Pioli. Can't fault him for that.

Lets see what he does next.

I was on board with Pioli 100% when he was hired.

but, mid-way through last year, and after this draft.....and these games....I'm done with him.

Carlk needs to admit his error and remove Pioli. building a contender no longer takes 5+ years.

Never been an advocate of just drafting a QB in the first round because "at least we took a shot" We need to pick the right guy. We need a guy who knows who to pick. Pioli has no track record of knowing who that guy is.

Clark is not the enemy.

If you hire a GM who demonstrates an understanding of the importance of the QB position with a proven track record of properly evaluating QB's, then I'm fine. We'll draft the right guy, and do whatever it takes to get him.

Pioli has a mentality of oldschool game-manager type of football and we all know that shit only leads to mediocracy at best. (Besides Trent Dilfers' fluke team)

Geno Smith is the excitement and has the skillset to lead a team into the playoffs on a yearly basis.
Pioli doesn't have the balls to go get him at #1.
