This things has grinded to a hault faster than Billay's sex life when he gets a little bit tipsy.

Ten days ago I thought I was very close to revving up free agency. But I realized I hadn’t thought through how I would transition from one league year to the next carefully enough. I need to take some time to rework some chunks of code.

I realized this just as I was heading into a very busy time at my real job. I’ll spare you the details, but they range from slamming out a 100 page report in 3 weeks, to racing concrete canoes, to programming microprocessor boards, to honoring one of my life-long mentors, to addressing a crowd of 1000 gen Zs, to selling a business plan for an initiative that is currently bleeding $80K per year, to being the point person on three hiring initiatives representing $500k per year investment. These are only the thing that are in addition to my regular work load. 70 hour weeks of fairly high stress work doesn’t leave much time or any energy for coding. I probably have a couple more weeks of craziness before I will be able to get back to sandbox. Thank you for your patience.

Cox, I know you mean well and I truly appreciate you starting this back up...but it sounds like building this is the LAST thing you should be taking on.

Not like me to say all that but shit man, I’ll be damned if I don’t feel guilty, lol.

The long hiatus last time was partially due to being busy, but had another root cause that we have now solved.

Sandbox is what I do for fun. It is a dream that Rain Man and I share that we’re both passionate about. It is an itch that must be scratched. Sometimes it has to go on the back burner, but we will be moving through the league cycle soon enough.

As an update, the soft launch continues and we're working through a few technical issues related to having two leagues running asynchronously. Stand down for a couple of weeks and we'll be off and running in free agency.
