I could not be more stoked that the Chiefs took this kid. I legitimately thought he was going round 1 and would end up in Seattle to replace Thomas. I've wanted this kid for a while and thought he became out of reach. I'm less than stoked about the other two picks, but this one makes up for it.

Tried to say they didn't need to burn a 1 on a safety. Didn't think they would take one, but getting him at 63 is fantastic.

The Chiefs go with Juan Thornhill, a selection has Steve Spagnuolo written all over it. Andy Reid essentially just confirmed that Juan Thornhill & Tyrann Mathieu can both be versatile in the back end of the secondary. He says both players can be interchangeable per situation of the game & scheme.
