Rookies are now the playmakers on this team

Saturday vs SEA

Karlaftis - Batted pass on 4th down, sack on third down, TFL

Watson - open field tackle to force a 4th down

McDuffie - stopped receiver short of a 1st on 4th and 8

Cook - stuffed receiver short of a 1st on 4th and 4

Pacheco - 90 total yards on 15 touches

Didn’t Josh Williams blow up a running play too?

Dante84 12-26-2022 02:38 PM

I believe Watsons solo open field tackle was on a third down & 7, which forced a fourth down that they went for it and McDuffie drove the dude back before he could get past the sticks.

I was just looking yesterday at our draft class and all are contributing except Kinnard and the last pick that was cut. Veach wins again.

Suck it Donkey fans! LOL

He also was a repeat offender of penalties and shitty coverage on that long TD drive they had, he was promptly and correctly benched in the middle of that drive. Let's hope it's that way moving forward.

The rookies are not the "the" playmakers on this team. But they are making plays.

frozenchief 12-26-2022 04:44 PM

This is a “re-structuring” year. In a couple of years, those rookies will be scary good. Also, KC is one of the top 5 teams in terms of # of rookie snaps. Only team in top 5 with a winning record if I recall correctly.
