Sucks it had to end this way, but there was no other option
|
An all time favorite. But a contract like that with no production....writing was on the wall.
GL Berry. It was a pleasure. |

Hey, UChiefyBugger, you can GTFO too
|
He’s all yours Dorsey.
|
Garafolo acting like Chiefs were tired of the day to day stuff last year because it was really in Berry’s hands if he played or not—pain management and what not.
|
Wow this is going to turn out really good or really bad. Couldn't get much worse than we were so I'm all for it!!
|
Hopefully he can sign on somewhere and be reasonably productive

Sucks to see the ol' dogs like Berry and Houston go out like that. But, Berry made a killing here. He's set for life thanks to the Chiefs. |
Sadly had to happen. Was one of my 2 favorite players his time here next to JC. Sad how both of their careers ended here.
|
So this probably means Honey Badger will be playing all over
|
I appreciate his time here.....but it is long past time to move on from him. Good luck in the future Hobo....

Not surprised. Good job, Veach.
|
Here come all the Chiefs fans in the Facebook groups calling the Chiefs "and idiots"...
|
Berry on line one with the Falcons
|
Hells yeah!!
|
Well it seems that if you sign a mega contract you have to know that the cut will come for you some day
|
Ciao

Wonder if we'll ever know the real story of what went on last season.

My banner thread claims its 2nd and final victim.

After Tyrann was signed, it was over. And you kinda knew that with the way Veach spoke about it two weeks ago. "We have a plan for Eric Berry". That plan is finding his replacement and cutting him. |

Needed to be done. This was a relationship gone bad. Irreconcilable differences. Tainted love. |
I'm guessing we had some deal with Berry. He could have gotten surgery, and didn't, which allowed us to cut him.
|
It’s June 1st guys. Terez said ao

Longest tenured Chief on defense is now Sorenson

I hope it’s over. |
I don't hate Berry but the handling of that situation was so bizarre that it left pretty much everyone with a sour puss.
Best of luck, Berry! The good times were definitely good. |

That said, at least the Chiefs handled it in a relatively classy way. |

Remember when eid said Berry was in their plans a few weeks ago and this place lost it? |

By the end of the year it sure felt like Berry and Houston were just playing out their contracts w/o much fire. Although Houston rallied at the end of the year. But that kind of attitude is going to infect other players on the D. Players know when someone is just going through the motions and saying the right things vs. someone who is killing themselves to win a ring. |
Sorenson is the heart and soul of that defense now!!
|
hated to see him go out the way he did here. Could have been one of the greatest if it weren't for injuries and cancer and last season we just didn't know what the hell was going on.

You should've had surgery you new-wave ****ing hobo.
Kick rocks, man. |

Love the message here.
Veach and Reid just blew the defense the **** up this offseason. Being that bad and taking away one of Mahomes’s opportunities at a Super Bowl is unacceptable. Up or out. |
Are the pro shops letting us trade in our jerseys for Tyrann, no charge?

Had to be done.
You can’t pay a player that much money and get next to nothing in return. I wish him the best and I really hope he catches on with another team. |
Veach isn't kidding around. The defense has now jettisoned Houston, Ford, Nelson, and Berry. Those are some big names.
|
Alright...now make some moves to fix this defense
|
With Houston, Ford and Berry now all gone, casual Chiefs fans will be hard pressed to name a defensive player.
|
Sorenson is the lone survivor!!
|
We are going to need a identity reference card for the defense next year.
I won’t know who’s name to cuss at. |

Sad to see him go, even though it's the right move. Excited to see the big move this is all setting up.
