im very dissapointed with my ipod touch right now. The ****ing battery is shit and i have had it less then a freaking year. I cant do ANYTHING but listen to music on it. If i try to wifi it or play games or anything, the battery drains in like 10 min! 100-0 in about 10-15 min with wifi on and playing words with friends or using the facebook app. Downloading podcasts drains it even faster.

I can listen to music with the screen off for hours though. haha

If you've had it less than a year, then you have some options. First, I'd completely back up all your data, and restore it to factory, and copy data back. If that doesn't fix it, then take it back to the Apple store and tell them what's up. Cause that's not normal. If it's less than a year old, it's still covered.

How are you charging it?
Have you completely reset it to see if that helps? You can hold the power button down for 15 seconds, which will let you power it off. You might have an app that's going crazy.

Back up your shit. Right click on it in iTunes, Transfer purchases. Then right click back up.

My iPod Touch had the same issue. Could barely hold a charge through a run. I got it for free with my laptop, so I didn't give a shit really; I just figured it was a lemon. Then one day it went insane and I had to reset it... perfect battery life after.
