The daughter of one of my very dear friends is fighting for her life right now. She was hit by a car last night after an accident. She lost her leg, and severed her aorta. Its very touch and go right now. Please send positive thoughts and prayers to Kate. Thank you.

yes it is. She is suffering from multiple injuries. I guess a drunk driver hit her. She also ruptured her stomach and shattered her pelvis. Just got back from the hospital. Thanks for all your prayers.

Let me guess - the drunk just has scrapes and bruises, right?

I don't think he was injured. I hope he gets his colon flushed out in jail though

Very sad. We'll pray for her. That's a lot of damage to a little girl but kids are incredibly resilient.

Sometimes you realize how small of a world it really is.

My wife's dad is best friend's with her dad. My wife used to babysit her and her younger brother.

I believe she is just a year or two out of college.
