He wasn’t part of the Chargers’ offseason program until minicamp.

When he finally arrived, Melvin Ingram did so boisterously.

“We’re definitely going to win the Super Bowl,” he announced this week. “Still ASAP — Any Squad Any Place. That’s what we’re about.”

Ingram, a two-time Pro Bowl defensive end entering his eighth season, never has been shy about making brash, sweeping statements.

After the Chargers were eliminated from the playoffs in January by New England, he said: “We didn’t win the Super Bowl. We didn’t accomplish nothing.”

The Chargers are considered to be among the top teams in the NFL. At 12-4, they finished tied with Kansas City for the AFC’s best record in 2018.

How does that saying go again? Something about wishing in one hand...

If by "We’re definitely going to win the Super Bowl,” he means "Phillip Rivers is a whiny overrated bitch", he's absolutely correct.

Maybe they should aim for winning the division first.

A regular season game against the Chiefs is the Super Bowl for them. Maybe that's what he's talking about?

They haven't won the division in nine years. And for most of that, they weren't facing the best quarterback in the NFL on the other sideline.

This is why the Chargers lost the division last year. If you skip to 8:30 minutes watch Rivers make a classic melt down bad play when he throws the ball down instead of just falling down to keep the clock running. It gave Denver time to kick a field goal to win the game. WOW!

Well, God knows the NFL and their nine fans want them to win the Super Bowl.
