Smashburger just opened in Atlanta, heading there for dinner tonight. Interested to see how they stack up to Five Guys and US Cafe down here.

Funny. Some of you get all excited over a chain opening up. Where I am we have every conceivable chain store known to man and I could give a crap about any of them.
But I'd kill to have some of the independent eateries and bars you guys have all over the place. |
Not good. Not impressed.

Smashburgers are always dry. Give me a grease soaked 5 Guy.
BRGR has some good stuff. Paul's, Hi Boy and Winsteads are also regular burger stops for me. There's also a place up North that I hit every now and then but I can't remember the name. |

Honestly, if you're in the OP area (Olathe, Lenexa, Leawood, etc) and you feel like a good burger, go to J. Alexander's. You will like it, I promise.

No wonder these places can expand. $12 for a burger/fries/drink?

EDIT: I'm talking about J. Alexander's, not the Smashburger (which doesn't really compare), I just realized you were probably talking about the latter, lol. |
