There are probably some pesky road runners in his area or something.

50# & up. Would prefer a peter wright but any thing with a flat side and good bounce will work.

MOhillbilly 06-15-2012 09:23 PM

He got one of the ones in the Dayton listings. Nice anvil got it for a hundred less. Welcome to Thunderdome.

Simply Red 06-15-2012 10:25 PM

what is a bruv, Mo? Is that the same as bro, bro?

Simply Red 06-15-2012 10:26 PM

I'm not kidding, i really don't know - is it the same type of slang, I guess?

Groves 06-15-2012 10:52 PM

My main anvil is a Peter Wright, but I'd rather have a Fisher. Let me know if he's still lookin to buy.

Buehler445 06-16-2012 12:17 AM

Dad has one out behind the shop. No idea if it is any good, but it is an anvil.

HonestChieffan 06-16-2012 04:50 AM

There is a guy in Lawrence who buys and sells lots of anvils and smith tools. Bought mine from him. Has a great bounce and rings sweet

He might be. He's gonna make all his hardie tools at his work shop. Check his stuff out on fb. Turned him onto that 50$ knife shop book. He ground that first one and is gonna start hammering today. Turned him onto the abana open forges so he's running with it.

So this IS the right place to buy tickets for the Oakland game...

Zebedee DuBois 06-16-2012 01:15 PM

If it doesn't say Acme, it isn't an Acme anvil.

chasedude 06-16-2012 02:04 PM

I've got a small anvil - made in India - from Harbor Freight. Cost $25ish, and works for my purposes but y'all will probably want to keep looking.

Might find something useful in the Draft Horse Journal: http://www.drafthorsejournal.com/

MOhillbilly 09-08-2012 06:27 PM

Some mother****er stole my peter wright.

MOhillbilly 09-08-2012 07:30 PM

It's a long way from Ohio to the Ozarks.

It only seems that way because Indiana and Illinois are so flat and boring.

Fish 09-08-2012 07:55 PM

Who the **** steals an anvil? That's crazy.

Junk collectors

Groves 09-08-2012 08:46 PM

They're quite pricey. Shoulda bought all I could find 20 years ago.

You guys aren't exactly on a main road. Was it the old neighbors?

Sorry about the anvil Mo but gotta give the dude credit. Not exactly something you can slide into your pocket or ride away with. Takes commitment to steal an anvil.

bevischief 09-09-2012 05:45 AM

wtf why?

MOhillbilly 09-09-2012 10:55 AM

Cause they're worth money.
