How exactly are you supposed to cash in a gold brick?
 

Let’s say you’re friends with Danny Ocean or whatever, and he breaks in to Fort Knox and gifts you gold bullion, exactly 1 gold brick.

How do you turn that into money? I’ve never pieces that together.

Legally AND illegally, give answers for both or either.

Obviously, you have to build a smelter in your basement. Be sure and wear heavy gloves. Then you smelt.

You'll have to figure it out from there 'cause I have no idea what you do with a bunch of molten gold from a smelter.

Then again, maybe you can get a bunch of little molds that look like tooth fillings and put your smelted gold in the molds. Then you can take the gold that looks like tooth fillings to your local "We buy gold" guy. When he asks you how you got all these tooth fillings, you can say, "I don't know exactly. I woke up one morning and they were under my pillow." Yeah ... that's it.

There are plenty of coin shops and gold buyers. The trick is they don't pay full rate in market value and will offer 75-80%.

I'd melt a brick down into 1oz bars and sell them individually.

Brad Bradshaw could cure cancer with that brick.

I was at an auction a while back that had (2) 100oz silver bars offered....and several serious buyers were there and they brought above current market value.

Hope Danny has a better plan than Goldfinger did.
