:hmmm: do we know if GM is counting cars that break in half as they're driven off the lot as one or two cars sold?

BigMeatballDave 01-23-2008 02:30 PM

Rudy is a douchebag.

Eleazar 01-23-2008 02:34 PM

Yeah Im sure the fact that they manufacture garbage on wheels had nothing to do with it.

Honda rules, especially now that they have Chuck Norris in their newest Ridgeline commercial.

CR Good Bet: Toyota Prius $20,000-$24,000
The response to our 2006 Annual Subscriber Survey was overwhelming. We received responses on more than 1 million vehicles. Because of that, our data paints a more expansive reliability picture than ever before.

This year 59 models made our CR Good Bets list of typically reliable models that have performed well in our road tests.

Our 2006 list of CR Bad Bets, models that are considered especially risky buys and that have exhibited several years of below-average reliability, has 42 models.

CR Good Bets and CR Bad Bets are based on our larger lists of Reliable used cars and Used cars to avoid (available to subscribers). These comprehensive lists give you a rundown of all the models that were found, from our data, to be above or below average in reliability. Owners reported on any serious problems they had had with their cars, minivans, SUVs, and pickup trucks in the previous year.

Does GM actually do anything other than "assemble" cars in the U.S.?

Hondas seem to be reliable. I just think most of their vehicles are fugly. Similar for Toyotas. They just seem too tame to me. I don't care for their Tundra because it just isn't fun to drive, too quiet, too sanitary (or something like that).

I think both the Prism and the Vibe were collaborations with Toyota. Both have Toyota engines, don't they?
