*** 2015 Prospect Tracker: Chiefs Interest / Visits / Work Outs ***

Draft Season is upon us. With the college season ending tomorrow, and the NFL wrapping up soon as well, our focus shifts to the most glorious time of year.

With a ton of picks this year, it will be even more exciting to follow.

4 years ago, this thread had a few guys that we selected in the draft. 3 years ago, this thread had 4 of our 8 draft picks. 2 years ago, we got Kelce and Fisher, and last year we snagged Murray, DAT, LD-T, and Kona Schwenke.

Here was our list from 2014:
Spoiler!

For those who are new, the way this operates is that we collectively monitor various social media sources, blogs, articles and reports for news of the Chiefs' interest in a certain player. When posted in this thread, I will update the OP to include the player. *Please provide the link to the article, the players name, position and team.

I am going to try to link to player profiles when they exist, courtesy of draftbreakdown.com. For some of the lesser-known guys, it may just be a random video or profile from their team website.

Re-visiting last year:

Aaron Murray - 3/24/14 - It was rumored that we had shown interest in him behind the scenes. Likely a leak from an agent.

Guys if there is 1 QB that I think Reid would draft in this draft, it's Aaron Murray. Call it a hunch, but he just seems like the kind of QB Reid would jump on.

He's a lot like Alex Smith in that he's mobile, very smart, takes care of the ball and has good leadership.

He's got a good personality that seems to energize people and his accuracy is there. I think if he's there in round 3 we take a long hard look at him.

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif - 3/27/14 - Held a work out for multiple NFL scouts

Kona Schwenke - 5/1/14 - Came to KC for a private workout

De'Anthony Thomas - 5/4/14 - Chiefs attended his Pro Day workout at Oregon

This is always a rewarding thread. Keep up the great work.

Any updates? I've been busy this week, so I haven't been tracking.

I know Shrine/Senior games are coming up soon.

I've heard a lot of hype over Denzel Perryman, and admittedly, I haven't seen him play.

I just watched his game against Nebraska - again, only and first impression - but I was kinda disappointed.

+ He is very strong; his arms wrap the runner with a huge impact on his tackles, and he lifts the runner up.
+ Holds his ground on blocks
+ He takes great angles in pursuit to the outside

- He seems slow to react; does a lot of watching and waiting... and sort of dances around the pile while other guys are on the ground.
- While he takes great angles, it was usually because he was slow to get to the initial point of contact. It's like he's trying to play clean up man, instead of the first-to-arrive destroyer mentality that we see with DJ sometimes.

Takeaways - I need to watch more on him, because he has a ton of buzz and I just don't see it yet. I'm guessing he lays nasty hits occasionally, but he just seems to be out there hovering and protecting himself. Almost reminds me of DRC just standing around the pile instead of getting in on the tackles. I expected to see more nasty, more fight I guess.
