Any injury news?

Slow news day, and the top few threads have nothing of interest.

Any updates on the injury front?

DaFace 10-08-2019 02:36 PM

Not on a Tuesday, no.

MAHOMO 4 LIFE! 10-08-2019 02:37 PM

Xavier Williams our 4-6 weeks per rapoport and Jones our a few weeks

Chargem 10-08-2019 02:37 PM

My elbow feels a bit weird after going to the gym.

No. Go jerk off until tomorrow.

loochy 10-08-2019 02:39 PM

Is our dear PM3 alright?

How bad is Sammy's hammy?

Is Reek gonna go?

How many more weeks, Fish?

Jones, is this a 2 week injury or a 6 week injury? Same for Williams. Wylie? Hitchens

Reek tweeted "I can't wait."

He practiced last week and apparently looked full speed.

I'm really really hoping this is a good sign that he's going to play.

He’s a main reason why our run defense is aids. He chooses the wrong hole most of the time and gets wiped out. Niemann actually knows where he’s going. Yes he’s not as strong but that’s fine. Just know your assignments

Uhhh thats like telling me to take some roids and painkillers and protect our QB. No matter how much passion and heart I got, they are going to run over me like I'm not even there.

Have you watched some of the All-22? It's pathetic. Our backups are going to get our money making, bring us a Super Bowl championship home QB, season ending hurt.:banghead:

Sort of off topic, but when Kelce has his shit games and seems completely out of it, do you think it's from pain killers? I don't mean that he is abusing them, but perhaps the staff is feeding him too many? In his shit games he looks lost and slow like his feet weigh a hundred pounds and his brain can't process quick enough to get his hands prepared for a catch. My friends and I always assumed he was hung over for some games but who knows.

I think Kelce is just a 260 pound guy who just hit 30.

He was never going to be as fast as he was on that screen against Denver he housed forever.

I don't think Patrick's ankle is good. He's just not gonna bitch about it. He's not a guy that's gonna make excuses. He's just gonna go out there and play. I just hope he doesn't make it worse. I wouldn't mind if he had to miss a game. We're not getting the #1 seed, so what does it matter if we take another loss?

I don't think it is either. It is definitely not 100%. After Cam "Ankle Breaker" Erving kicked the shit out of Mahomie, he looked pretty gimpy.

If you got a guy that is getting his shit pushed in so bad that he is injuring his own teammates, get rid of him. :banghead:

I still wonder about berry on this question.

As for kelce, I see a guy getting flat out mauled out there. Defenses arent just chipping at him, they're beating him up and getting away with a ton of contact. He looks frustrated and exhausted, and understandably.

They can do that when there aren’t a ton of options out there to account for. Especially no Hill or Watkins.

Travis Kelce taking flack when he leads TE's in receiving yards by quite a bit....it's not like he's sucking ass.

So I've been out most of the week, only stopping in a few times to see everyone all pissed and doomy then I just leave.

But has anyone talked or heard anything about what happened to Watkins? He went thru warmups, was active, then doesn't play a snap? What the **** happened there?

Yea we’d be way better off without Sammy!

Look I get the frustration, but if he’s healthy for the playoffs and plays like he did last year when the time comes, who really gives a ****?

If we would’ve won the SB last year, he would’ve been a big reason why. I really don’t get how you can call it dumb.

comochiefsfan 10-09-2019 11:57 AM

It’s not only that Sammy’s always injured. Everybody gets banged up in the NFL at some point in the season.

It’s the fact that he can’t play through ANYTHING. As soon as he shows up on the injury report at all, then you can expect him to be out for 5-6 weeks. He’s Mr. Glass IRL.

Think of how many times you’ve seen the Cheetah out there with a limp. Think about the Baltimore game last season where Tyreek basically willed us to a win with one leg. Do you think Sammy would have stayed in the game with that same injury? No ****ing chance.

Also, it’s really a 2 year deal. We didn’t sign him for 5 or 6 years.

We can get out of it this offseason. He was worth the risk at the time.

Why don't you get it? This place is full of geniuses. They get to sit at home and act like they're smarter than NFL GM's. I can't figure out why none of them are on an NFL staff. Oh. Yes I do. Because they're idiots who do nothing but bitch and complain. They don't deserve to hold Matt Millens jock. And he was one of the worst GM's ever. But he knew 100 times more than these annoying whiners.

He did that last year against the Rams. He was then out until the playoffs.

Fisher came back for a couple snaps then went out. He's missed a substantial amount of time.

Sammy plays 2 plays against Indy then apparently re-injures himself. Could be out for an extended amount of time.

Whoa Whoa Whoa, NFL GM's aren't brilliant people. They're people who a lot of times have jobs because of nepotism. There are plenty of people who don't work in that field that could do that job without a problem.

Brett Veach has earned a lot of what he's getting at this point has he not?

Yea totally deserves to be compared to Grigson when this team would be 5-0 and looking like the best team in the NFL if it weren’t for multiple injuries to key players.

Grigsons team went to an AFC championship at 1 point....that comparison is that he made a lot of moves that didn't work out only to basically be saved by Andrew Luck.

It's too soon to say. You can't judge a draft class accurately until year 3. And you certainly can't judge a completely overhauled defense just 5 games in. He inherited a good offense and a bad defense from Dorsey. He's trying to fix the defense. He may fail I. The end. But I'm not ready to crucify him just yet.

What the ****?

4-6 week injury. This is week 5. Far fetched? Shit.

We’re in trouble.

All these damn injuries and then they have a damn Thursday game after this. No way any of these guys play this week. Sunday is gonna get real ugly unless Bill O’Brien gets to cute and wants to throw the ball all over the field

We have a short week too. We play Denver on Thursday.

How is it far fetched for Tyreek to play this week? He was almost ready to play last week.

That's interesting but also shitty. Now I'm starting to wonder if the Chiefs are saving him for Thursday. Probably not great to play him then immediately throw him into a short week.

I agree with everyone about the far fetched thing. Most reports are that he's running full speed in practice and he sounds really optimistic on Twitter.

All of the talk about Sammy Watkins having a new approach this season... supposedly changing his training methods, how he prepares his body for the grind of the season, etc... he's the same broke dick player.

You got THAT right! :shake:
