Oh, you think fuel gauge is your ally. But you merely adopted the gauge; I was born in fuel, molded by it.

Bring this on! In a summer full of comic book movies and sequels, this looks like a refreshing alternative .

All war movies are the same shit over and over. Wonder if this one will have some sort of love story like all the others.

Dunit35 05-06-2017 09:46 PM

From the trailers, it looks solid.

Excited to check it out.

When war movies are based on actual events, that's literally the opposite of true.

Granted, the skills of the researcher/writer and director are a factor, but this is Nolan baby.

Good drama for 2017. The new crop won't know how it ends.

That was pretty underwhelming to be honest.

Not in an IMAX theater.

I'm sure visually and sonically it's great and that IMAX adds to the experience, but even without context a seven minutes clip should still be coherent. That prologue wasn't. Just seemed like random 30 second scenes back to back. Editing just looked bad

This looks like it MUST be seen in IMAX (considering a lot of it was filmed with IMAX cameras). Looks jaw dropping.

also I read that there isn't a lot of dialogue in this .

There are no official reviews written yet... but there are tweets trickling in from reviewers the last 24 hours, and so far most all of them say this film is a major home run. People already pick Nolan's films apart to the 100th degree... sounds like the hype train might be about to leave the station on this one.

My wife thought this movie was another American/Japanese war movie.

Germany really missed a huge opportunity my goodness, I mean England quite possibly could have agreed to terms of a surrender if they had prevented them from escaping.

The battle has been dubbed "Miracle at Dunkirk" because at the time it was considered a huge miracle that the British pulled this off with the help from Hitler himself.

Nice group of actors I really like Cillian Murphy of course I will see this one, need more of these type of movies. Real stories are the best stories.

DaneMcCloud 07-11-2017 07:42 PM

Very little dialogue in this film. It's focused on the visuals and sound.

It's a Must See in IMAX and is Nolan's shortest film.

I am excited to see this.
