I think it's a cool idea playing a game before the College World Series. They do it before the Little League World Seriesas well. At least Omaha has the best non MLB stadium in the country.

Well this explains why the freeway message board said something about MLB traffic on my drive home from work yesterday. Had a bit of a WTF moment when I saw that.
