Broncos expected to sign Kirk Cousins

Just saw live on The Herd on FS1. He got a text from the source live on air and said that the source has told him that Cousins will be signing with Denver and that they were already working on a deal (tampering?)

Regardless, there you go.

Please let them get busted for tampering.

Oh and Knowmo said it wasn't going to happen because the Broncos weren't going to get caught up in a bidding war for him.

Before it gets said, I know guys that this isn't Schefter or Rapoport. But Cowherd always talks about his conversations with people who work in the league and he has plenty of connections. Don't think he says it on air if he doesn't trust the source.

The Denver Broncos are going to likely give this guy $26-30M per year. My goodness.

At least $24 million average for Kirk Cousins. Their best bet but my god what an overpaying power play for a guy that has done less than Alex.

No they won't, KnowMo said so

BigCatDaddy 01-31-2018 01:36 PM

He is a good QB. It elevates them up for sure.

I bet Elway panicked after Smith was traded and went after Cousins early. Too afraid to miss out on the other veteran.

Sassy Squatch 01-31-2018 01:38 PM

If he's already agreeing this early then Denver most likely is giving him the Staffordesque mega deal he wanted.

The Franchise 01-31-2018 01:38 PM

Stafford is making $27 million on average.

If Denver signs him....it's going to be for $28 million plus.

Red Dawg 01-31-2018 01:38 PM

Denver signing someone else's trash is great. Kirk is no better than average. I can think of 25 QBs that are better. Good luck with that Denver. Say goodbye to Sanders and Talib.

He is younger and better than Alex.

I said that if Cousins winds ups in Denver his deal will be closer to $25M per year than $30M per year.
