Teenagers in 2035 will hate sports. Mock them. They gonna be like this isnt a video game.

Rain Man 11-25-2020 09:37 PM

Congratulations.
Congratulations.
Congratulations.

Out of curiosity, can you tell before birth if they're identical or fraternal?

Rain Man 11-25-2020 09:43 PM

Apparently triplets can be some combo of identical and fraternal. So your possible combinations (assuming no hermaphrodites) are:

3 identical boys
2 identical boys and 1 girl
2 fraternal boys and 1 girl
3 fraternal boys
3 fraternal girls
1 boy and 2 fraternal girls
1 boy and 2 identical girls
3 identical girls

We should take bets on what they are.

Zebedee DuBois 11-25-2020 09:56 PM

Blessings to you!

I hope you or your wife have parents or siblings close by. You're gonna need a helping hand or three

tx4chiefs 11-25-2020 11:05 PM

Congrats. Rest now, soon you won't get any sleep!

KurtCobain 11-26-2020 04:23 PM

I have decided you should name your new kids Joey, Joe and JoJo.

bdj23 11-26-2020 06:09 PM

I have a new Chiefs fan on the way too

First:
Congratulations

Second: My twins turned five in mid-October (they were born during game 5 of the 2015 ALDS). Here are some tips I will share:

1) For at LEAST the first few weeks you have them home, you’re going to need a third person there to help. Mother, father, sister, best friend, something... And you’re going to alternate nights that you/your spouse/your third party get a full night off to sleep. If you and your wife try to do it all yourselves you’ll get no night time sleep and it will **** you up.

2) Get a baby Brezza or something similar. This is like a Keurig for formula. You’re going to need it.

3) mentally prepare for never considering anyone else’s baby experience challenging. It gets annoying in a hurry listening to people who have never had more than one baby at a time whine about how hard it was.

4) if you’re doing daycare, get on it ASAP. Finding child care for multiples is ****ing hard.

5) safety proof the shit out of your house. My wife was measuring 48 cm at 37 weeks with twins (and that’s the equivalent of a 48-week pregnancy) and couldn’t get around. Get one of those grabber contraptions. She’ll need it.

6) strap it up. It’s getting real, man.

What about an intersex baby?

I know it's not possible for everyone and I'm sure it's really hard for 2-3 but I feel compelled to say it:

Breast is best.

TimeForWasp 11-27-2020 11:11 PM

Give them all the same name, so you don't get confused.

TimeForWasp 11-27-2020 11:14 PM

Or Pat, Patrick and Patricia.

Congrats! Since it's just one, I think you have to go with a specialist name like Harrison or Tommy or Winchester.

That's what George Foreman did.

dlphg9 11-28-2020 01:06 AM

I have three girls. The middle one is a hell raiser. At least you won't have a middle child.

Fed is best

The shit these moms give other moms for not breast feeding is ****ing insane. If a mom doesn't want to breast feed her kid because it's easier, than why is it anyone's business? Those breast is best psycho moms better never give their kid processed food or junk food either.

I agree that there is a lot of vitriol that is unnecessary and wrong.

But I disagree that formula is easier. Measuring, mixing, warming and then waiting doesn't seem easier than popping a boob out.

Again, I know its not for everyone. My sister in law had a really hard time breast feeding her kid. But there is a reason why most doctors recommend breast feeding when possible.

With multiples, it just isn’t realistic short- or long-term for multiple reasons:

1) mom has to be able to rest. With multiples, especially in the early weeks, they are NOT going to wake up on the same schedule. Mom will not sleep if she’s trying to go breast only. One of those kids is going to be up every 30 minutes or so in the night to be fed (and feeding takes time)

2) the sheer volume of milk three kiddos are going to need is going to make it impossible to get “stores” of breast milk built up in advance. Which means no one else can feed them. Which means you can’t send breast milk to daycare if they’re going to daycare. Etc.

My wife was able to pump enough for the first six months or so that ours had about 75 percent breast milk, but she also was a rock star in that regard. Multiple moms just have a hard time staying caught up to the demand.

3) The reason I recommended the Baby Brezza is that it takes out all the difficulties of formula that you just mentioned.

It measures. It mixes. It warms it to the correct temperature. You can hold a kid in one arm and get the bottle going with the other.

It saved us when the breast milk started drying up. And that was only with 2 (and, of course Mrs. Idaho is a perfect 10 with enormous boobs, as she is a ChiefsPlanet wife, so...)

AdolfOliverBush 04-21-2021 07:18 AM

I can't imagine the stress of having triplets, but the good part is that you've (maybe) had all of your kids all at once. Congrats.

Dude....those first years are rough. Now that my twins are 10 years old though? It’s ****ing great.

Tag team nights when they’re all awake.
Take time for yourselves if you have the help.

Congrats! I can't imagine having three at once. I have three but they were 8 years apart.

Coach 04-21-2021 09:45 PM

Don't be afraid to get a well trusted nanny sometimes, if you don't have family close to you.

smithandrew051 04-21-2021 10:49 PM

Congrats! The boys are spoiled already, because the only world they know is one with Mahomes playing QB for the Chiefs.

oldman 04-21-2021 11:07 PM

Start saving for car insurance now!! Other than that, congrats!.
