At this point I'd imagine his "protest" has more to do with the league telling him what he can or can't do versus any social commentary.

The news networks are trying to piss you off, it makes you tune in and get ratings.

Social consciousness is wonderful if done correctly. The audience he seems to thrive for would probably respond better to a different approach. He is in country music mecca & this not the right way to go

"Already, the two have created the Casey Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising money for re-entry programs, inner-city youth programs, mentoring, halfway houses and other projects."

Looks like he's trying to arrange awareness in a multitude of ways.

That's good. Does his fist or belligerence tell me how or make me want to donate?

BFD.
Just don't televise the anthem this year. Or, when the anthem is playing keep the camera focused on the stadium flag.

Good for him. Moving on.

Flying High D 07-19-2018 04:33 PM

How would like to wake up with his butt in your face?

I just want them to cast Jurrell as the lead in 'Roseanne' and let him use that show as his social platform. Everybody wins!

Or stop playing the anthem for absolutely no discernible reason before football games.

I bet you wish they'd stop doing the 'Budweiser Hero of the Game' camera too, huh??

That would work if there weren't 80k ish fans in the stadium that payed a couple hundred dollars to view their team play football. These assholes need to leave their personal life at home just like everyone else.

Incremental fines, punishment with eventual dismissal from the league without compensation.

Do they not play the game anymore if a player protests? This a new thing for 2018?
