I like Gallagher but are we really worried about competing for a division title? If not, you keep Viloria who has the higher upside IMO.

To each his own, but I totally disagree. I was "meh" about Gallagher for quite a while, but he's turned into one of the most capable backups in the game.

Gallagher is definitely better, right now. Viloria could be ALOT better, though.

Agreed. Not gunna replace 40+ HR easily. Hes the only Royal ever to even do it lol. Really gunna miss his power in the middle of the lineup right when we're wanting to contend if we don't somehow extend him.

New ownership doesn’t seem to have a problem with spending money. Hope to see an extension for him.

Unless they truly hope to contend this year, which they shouldn’t, then I think you have to either extend him or trade him. His lack of defense may depress his value. I’m also curious how much is left in the coffers after the Salvy contract.
