Chiefs players have a history of disappearing in the playoffs. One would be hard pressed to come up with examples of notable performances.

It kinda feels like the Colts game was our Super Bowl in a way. Now that we finally got that monkey off our back we can hopefully take the next step sooner rather than later.

Sammy Watkins made some huge plays.

Can't really blame Hill or Watkins on offense. Hill had the stupid negative punt return, but you have to take the good with the bad on those. The rest of our main guys were pretty blah. |
No matter what Mahomes' stats say - he made some terrible plays in the first half.

Schwartz got whipped several times too.
Our offensive line struggled with all the stunts, slants, and loops etc that the Patriots showed. Patriots defense had guys running free all game long just because of the sets they ran. |
Regarding this rather bizarre OP statement ...
Mahomes wasn't the only guy to play both poorly and well at times. What was surprising to me was how effective the Cheaters were at taking away both Tyreek and Kelce. I didn't expect that. I knew they'd try, of course. But I didn't think the tactic could be so effective. I'll look forward to watching the All-22 as soon as I think I can handle it. FAX |
Lotta truth.
Some of it goes to show how you can neutralize an area of a defense no matter how good when another area struggles. In terms of hill, that’s why you brought Watkins in. As much as we wanna blame this or that thoigh, they were a neutral zone infraction away from having Brady throw 3 picks and beating him. Shit |

Hill was being double teamed and made the focal point of Belichick’s defensive strategy, so I’ll blame his lack of production more on Andy not finding other ways to get him the ball (i.e. screen plays, jet sweeps, etc.) Kelce was completely outplayed by broke dick Gronk yesterday. |
I think what we really saw was the difference between an Andy Reid team and a Bill Belichick team. One usually shows up big for big games. The other one shows up for maybe a half in them. Over and over and over it's happened. We got completely schooled before halftime, and it was nigh on unbelievable that it was only two TDs. We could have easily been down 21 or 28. That all gets lost a little in the miracle that was Mahomes after halftime.
We didn't look ready for that game at all. |
