Kelce career trajectory vs. Gonzalez

Monday Night will be Travis Kelce’s 75th career regular season game. Here’s how his numbers compare to Tony Gonzalez’s first 75 games;

Tony G: 319 rec, 3,745 yards, 27 TDs.

Travis Kelce: 364 rec, 4,687 yards, 28 TDs.

Does Kelce stand a chance of continuing that pace?

Good chance, yes.

Shaid 11-18-2018 12:24 PM

I'd expect now that he has a stud QB, you have a good chance to keep or even increase that pace.

Skyy God 11-18-2018 12:24 PM

Nah.

Kelse plays pretty physical, and Gonzo was a freak of nature.

jimidollar 11-18-2018 12:24 PM

Certainly. He has a great qb.

Graystoke 11-18-2018 12:24 PM

Is it me or has he looked slow lately?
Great hands, great route runner and I believe has matured significantly.
Better then Gonzo in my opinion

CP loves TG - Yes Kelce absolutely does!

Pablo 11-18-2018 12:27 PM

Yes. He's got a QB that will absolutely get him the ball and gets a ton of YAC because he works himself open so well.

He's gonna have a bunch of yards and a bunch of TD's before it's all said and done.

Tony was very healthy his entire career, Kelce tends to get concussions. Im guessing Kelce has a shorter career by a decent amount but over that time does more.

Tony G had that rare longevity, if Kelce can play for 15 seasons he'll surpass Tony G but that's a big if.

Reerun_KC 11-18-2018 01:13 PM

Kielce has more playoff victories than Tony.

Interesting numbers through 75 games. Like others have said, Tony stayed amazingly healthy throughout his career. I remember Kelce having injury concerns when he was coming out in the draft. I'm surprised he has stayed as healthy as he has tbh. I don't think he'll have the same luck for as long as Tony did.

Simply Red 11-18-2018 01:42 PM

True - TG was in the league for a long time.

I think he missed 1 game through Marty and Vermiel and 2 when Hutard strung him out. Dude was a warrior.

Kelce isn’t going to have that kind of longevity.
