As far as ID4 sequels go, if the right script and direc tor come along, MAYBE it could work? And piss on Godzeeera. |
They already made an ID4 sequel. They called it Battle Los Angeles.

I'm surprised they never thought of sending a search party to the planet the folks of Moon Base Alpha went to....

If they were going to do a sequel, they should have done one 14 years ago....you know, when ID4 was still hot. |
Of course it was cheesy, Summer blockbusters usually are
The President of the United States flying an F-18 against Aliens that wiped out the entire U.S. airforce earlier...C'mon Man Still an awesome flick |
Carter Blanchard to do Rewrite on ‘Independence Day 2′ Script
Carter Blanchard has been set to rewrite the script to 20th Century Fox’s “Independence Day 2.” James Vanderbilt penned the first draft, and Roland Emmerich is on board to direct. Emmerich will also produce along with Dean Devlin and Harald Kloser. No plot details have been revealed other than that Will Smith will not be returning to reprise his role. After Smith passed on joining the sequel, Fox has tried to figure out how to tackle this new installment without him and hopes Blanchard can help with that. Blanchard is currently working on the adaptation of Mark Millar’s “Kindergarten Heroes” for Fox and also penned the script to “Spyhunter” at Warner Bros. |
