After the dust settles after the first six picks, it's gonna be interesting to who is sitting there for Tampa Bay. If there is a QB run could be an interesting player at 7.

O.city now has the Eagles and I have the Redskins.

With the 1st selection of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select Sam Darnold, QB, USC.

I'm at work, so I don't have time to enter my reasoning, will do later on.

When I think about a QB that can play in the AFC North and that can play in Todd Haley's offense, I think about a guy that has good vision, can push the ball down-field, can throw into tight windows, and can move in the pocket. Darnold definitely checks those boxes. There are some issues, particularly with Darnold carrying the ball at half-mast, which leads to fumbling and a delayed delivery. An NFL team will be able to clean that up rather quickly. All the positives for Darnold though, you can't fix those with other QBs. I think about accuracy, poise in the pocket, and keeping his eye's down-field. You also can't fix guys who have an injury history. After trading for Tyrod Taylor, the Browns have the ability to sit Darnold for a year and let him work on his craft.

I don't care if he makes Barry Sanders and Jim Brown the 2nd and 3rd best all time great RBs this pick was a mistake. NYG have to take a QB here.
