The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed free agent linebacker Keyaron Fox to a one-year contract.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Fox spent his first four NFL seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, playing primarily on special teams and as a backup. He was a third-round pick in the 2004 NFL Draft out of Georgia Tech.

This past season, Fox notched 21 tackles, including 10 against the New York Jets in the season-finale. He registered 52 tackles during the 2006 season, starting four of the 16 games he played.************************************************

I didn't see a post of it yet. He didn't do a bad job. He had a good season 2 years ago and out played Bell (which wasn't hard) from the bench.

I wish him luck...because now...he'll end up being a hoss for the Steelers.

He's a better fit for their scheme. I don't expect him to breakout, but he can be a solid contributer.

Huffman83 03-12-2008 09:39 AM

I agree. But it's still going to piss me off if he ends up w/ 100+ tackles, 15 sacks and 5 ints.

Well, there go our Super Bowl aspirations.

Damnit Carl!:cuss:

He'll do well there.

Fox was made for the Steelers' system.

Watch him do good there.

We sign williams because Fox wasn't good enough for depth, and then he has a good season with Pittsburgh. One of those things. its happened before has it?

As some hav already said, he's a better fit for the Steelers 3-4, so if he does well, as bad as our staff sucks, it wouldn't be a reflection on the Chiefs poor coaching.

Just a refection of the team's moronic drafting.

It's like Kawika Mitchell.

Dude's not a good Cover 2 MLB, but he's definitely a talented linebacker.

We have Demorrio Williams. We're gonna be fiiiiiine.

CupidStunt 03-12-2008 01:34 PM

15 sacks?

I'd be surprised if he's simply on the field in 15 games.

I know Williams is a key acquisition in building the team up from the ground floor. His service on the sideline will be greatly appreciated. He's one Hell of a piece of the puzzle to improve the team. Add our new wide-out into the mix and look out AFC.

He'll be a decent backup there too. BYE n GL.....nothing to get worked up over.
