Sorry if Q...another piece of history for Andy Reid.

I was thinking about this today in the car. When the Chiefs win on Sunday, Andy Reid will have taken 2 different teams to the Super Bowl.

That would put him in with Bill Parcells, Dick Vermeil, Mike Holmgren, and Dan Reeves. I was also thinking maybe Don Shula (confirmed). I forgot about John Fox.

So Andy Reid would be the 7th.

It's mind boggling that fox brought one let alone 2 teams to the super bowl. Easy to forget what a cesspool the nfc was for a decade.

How many have gone with a team from each conference?

Hoisting a Halas, Hunt, and Lombardi?

Parcells for sure (Giants, Patriots). Vermeil and Holmgren both NFC. Shula both AFC.

Fox was Panthers and Broncos. Reeves was Falcons and Broncos.

If we win the SB this year.....that cements Reid in the Hall of Fame.

If they win yeah.

I think a SB loss and he'll need a bit more.

and to think he was in our backyard with Mizzou in the dark ages of the late 80's and early 90's.

He can be the 2nd Eagles Coach who lost a Super Bowl and then win a Superbowl with a Missouri team.

I think he will only be the 3rd HC to take teams from both conferences to the Super Bowl.

I think a win on Sunday cements him in the HOF. Taking 2 teams, one from each conference, to a Super Bowl is very rare.

He’s also 7th in all time wins and will be 6th next year (2 wins behind Chuck Knoll).

Super Bowl win definitely puts him as a top 10 coach of all time. Not sure about top 5 though.
