Do you own an Electric car or plan to buy one

I plan to get one in the future, what are your plans?

If so what are your pluses or minuses ?

I think owning a Tesla would be pretty sweet. I have no plans/means to buy one anytime in the near future though.

No and nope

Negative. I’m too set in my ways and I’m comfortable with ICE. EVs have not yet reached the level of trustworthiness, economy, and range I want.

No plans on one but I’m not saying that won’t change. I’ll let innovation and the market determine that and hope the government doesn’t screw up the natural transition by trying to regulate it.

Possibly but styles need work.

The house I purchased has a place in the garage to charge a Tesla. I thought about buying a Tesla but in the end I went with a 2019 Vette. I'm wondering if I can use that charging port on a golf kart.

No and no.

Just bought a Ram 2500 with a Cummins diesel in 2017. I figure that should last me at least another 15 yrs. by that time electric trucks should be pretty effective and charging stations built out to an acceptable level. So maybe the next vehicle I buy will be electric, but I’m not planning on buying any new vehicle for a long time.

Out of curiosity, what is the plug like? Is it like a 30amp plug for a camper? Is it a 120v circuit or 240v?

I did a study a while back on issues related to electric vehicle adoption, and the client had a list of benefits to explore. I hadn't thought about this, but apparently electric vehicles have much less lifetime maintenance since their engines are so simple. That really made me think about getting one in the future.

Of course, I don't have a car at all right now, so I'm not exactly a good market.

It depends on the options in the market place and the long term work force design. Perfect scenario is a EV Toyota Forerunner. I won't hold my breath.

It would be so awesome to have an electric car here while the power is out....no way to escape the freezing temps
