Heads up: guest access is off during games
 

It seemed to help last week (despite the fact that the server still bogged down afterward), so we'll keep turning off guest access during games for the time being. We'll turn it back on at some point after the game, though a warning that if all the mods are pissed off, we might not get to it until the morning after the game.

If you're not registered here and want to be able to be around during games, here's your warning to get signed up. (Not to mention that lurkers are lame. Sign up and join the bloodbath conversation.)

The main server issues are likely due to the db needing indexing and some clean up. I need to do that but it takes hours upon hours with the size of our db and I don't want to risk anything going wrong until after the season is over. So, until then, shutting down guest access during games hopefully will keep us going.

The server itself should be fine from a hardware standpoint, at least for the next year.

So does this affect Tapatalk? I can’t seem to use it.

DaFace fixed that but you may need to log out and back in on Tapatalk

Try logging out and back in. We made a tweak today that might impact that, but reconnecting should take care of it.

No reason to lurk less rules here than any other football board. Hazing used to be much more intense today just a sarcastic post or 2 at worst.
