Damn dude, that guy pissed me off

I still don't quite understand how he was such a failure. No, he wasn't what he was hyped to be (because Beano Cook overhyped the shit out of him), but look at the guys that followed him:

Jarious Jackson, Matt LoVecchio and Caryle Holiday.

That's 5 straight years of awful QBs, plus 2 more of Brady Quinn learning how to play the position (he wasn't any good until his JR year).

The tripe ND ran out there after Powlus is my explanation for why I still like the guy. I think his mediocre SR season left a bad taste in a lot of mouths.

Ohhhhhhh **** you for mentioning Holiday's name. God I hated watching that kid play.

Don't come to me on that bandwagon...I still think Rees should've remained as the starter.

You can't argue with the scoreboard, but I still don't get the love for Golson. I'm just not impressed by the guy. It must be a leadership thing because I just don't see how he's a better QB for ND's weapons than Rees is.

Golson can escape if he needs to. Rees is a ****ing statue.

Notre Dame should win this one easily tonight with the amount of Catholic prayer going on today.

bevischief 01-07-2013 12:41 PM

Don't care for either team. I might watch it.

I wish I knew more about ND from this season. I know what Bama is good at and what they like to do, but I don't know enough about ND.

I was a kid and watched the last time these two met in the Sugar Bowl in 1973. Watched it on a 9 inch RCA that sat in my Mom's room. My Mom was at that game. Went to the game with her half sister and her husband. My Mom, boozing it up in NOLA. She loved that place too.

Tom Clements to TE Robin Weber. I hope they show that highlight. Backed up to their goal line and on 3rd down, if they didn't get the 1st down, Bama would only have to drive for a short FG to win.

Two things that stick out to me about that game.

The ND kicker wore gold shoes. And on his last FG, it looked like it could have/should have been no good.

Richard Todd caught a TD. From one of Marty/Gunther cronies Mike Stock.

They're actually somewhat similar.

Gonna be a defensive slugfest.

ND for me. I think they're going to do it.

I'm gonna go with 20-17, Irish.

First to 20 wins it and if there's a front 7 in the country that can deal with Bama's stable of RBs, it's Notre Dame's. If it's a blowout it will be because McCarron caught fire - not impossible, but not terribly likely either, IMO.

Or Golson turns it over.
