Hammock Parties 04-26-2008 09:27 PM

Groves is gone.

milkman 04-26-2008 09:27 PM

Groves is a Jag.

eazyb81 04-26-2008 09:28 PM

Terrell Thomas is gone too.

eazyb81 04-26-2008 09:31 PM

Early Doucet or Earl Bennett would be great possession WRs in round 3.

Chris Ellis would be bad ass.

Mecca 04-26-2008 09:32 PM

Pollack got picked by the Colts.

Mr. Kotter 04-26-2008 09:33 PM

Damn, sorry guys; looked at my Friday list....and forgot to take into account the "reaches."

I've revised the thread starter. Anymore over-sights?

FloridaMan88 04-26-2008 09:36 PM

A DE that will prevent the Chiefs from moving Boone to DE

Mecca 04-26-2008 09:36 PM

I'll list some guys I like..

DaJuan Morgan
Jeremy Zuttah
Eric Young
Early Doucet
Chris Ellis

That's as of now I may add some.

I also love Barry Richadson as a late rounder.

Bowser 04-26-2008 09:37 PM

I wish for an informed Kotter thread. :D

I would love to see either Doucet or Manningham here, for starters.

Throw out Early Doucet and add Brian Johnston as a 4th round propsect, and a late round flyer on Kevin O'Connell, and we got us some players.

Adept Havelock 04-26-2008 09:40 PM

My most sincere wish is for an encore performance.

I've seldom been happier to be wrong in my pessimism about this years draft.

huskerdooz 04-26-2008 09:47 PM

Anyone have any thoughts about CB Antwaun Molden out of Eastern Kentucky in the 5th or 6th?

http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/an...molden?id=2011

http://www.fftoolbox.com/nfl_draft/p...ospect_ID=1445

NFL Combine Results
40-Yard Dash 4.44
Bench press 23
Vertical jump 37
Broad jump 10.09
Three-cone drill 6.85
20-yard shuttle 4.14
60-yard shuttle 11.33

Mecca 04-26-2008 09:48 PM

I also like using a late rounder on Ali Highsmith.

73. Nicks
76. King
82. Avril
105. Radovich or Ellis
140. K. Brown or Grant
170. Mehlhaff
182. Stewart, or Quinten Demps (S)

No thanks.... ;)

You know what too?

Herm has been the difference....we have had our three BEST drafts, at least "initially," the last three years.

I don't think that's a coincidence, either.

Tribal Warfare 04-26-2008 10:02 PM

Brian Johnston in the 4th

Rain Man 04-26-2008 10:02 PM

Our gaping holes at this point include:

FB
#2 WR
RG or RT, depending on where Albert goes
C
DE
K
KR

Our oozing holes are at:

QB
#3 WR
Backup TE
MLB
Backup LB

I think we could make efforts to fill the G/T, C, FB, and KR holes tomorrow.

Ultra Peanut 04-26-2008 10:04 PM

73 - Early Doucet
76 - Chris Ellis
82 - Jeremy Zuttah
105 - Carl Nicks
140 - Josh Johnson

If I knew anything about them, I'm sure I'd love them.

Frankie 04-26-2008 10:09 PM

My 2nd day wish list comes from this group (In no particular order):

MLB- Beau Bell
OC- Jeremy Zuttah
OT- Carl Nicks (The more, the merrier)
QB- JD Booty (only if available in round 4 or later)
WR- Marcus Monk
FB- Peyton Hillis (I'm not really an Owen Schmitt fan for some gut reason)
RB- Jamaal Charles
CB-Tyvon Branch (4.3 speed)
OG- Eric Young
TE- Brad Cottam
DE- Tommy Blake (With his depression pills)

Honorable mention:
1) FB- Mike Cox (He and Johnson make a great backfield. At least namewise)
2) K- Shane Longest (Best name for a kicker ever, ;) )

RealSNR 04-26-2008 10:13 PM

I hope we take a shot at Josh Johnson in the 5th.

After today I have to say Herm and the guys he assembled are far better at judging talent than I gave him credit for. Tastiest crow I've eaten in a very long time. :D

As far as I'm concerned, consider me Mr. Cleese and Herm as Mr. Kline.

KC needs a young talented Center. I'm serial.

BigChiefFan 04-26-2008 10:18 PM

Give me DE Chris Ellis, RT Oniel Cousins/Carl Nicks, and CB Godfrey or WR Manningham and I'll consider the 3rd round successful.

DaneMcCloud 04-26-2008 10:35 PM

Mecca nailed my list.

Hope it happens.

CHENZ A! 04-26-2008 10:40 PM

I hope we get Denis Dixon late. other than that, obviously we have to pick more OL, and I think LB would be a good position for us to try and upgrade in addition to DE. But I think serviceable WR's can be had real late, or even signed as free agents or JUST GIVE SIPPIO A ****ING CHANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMAO

6 on a Wonderlic.

I wonder how Herm would score on the Wonderlic?

Third round. He probably would have gone alot higher, but he admitted to smoking pot and he had an awful wonderlic score, but the kid can play and really would be the perfect compliment to Bowe-it's like a match made in heaven-Manningham would be our vertical threat, who helps stretch the field for us. For a third round pick, he has first round potential and would probably start for us from day one.

Heh. LMAO

Herm is like W. Bush....he's smarter than he sounds. They both lapse into good ole boy talk, and cliches....but if you read between the lines...they both know what they are doing. Even if WE disagree with it....

;)

I don't want him operating on patients, I want him catching the football and stretching the field. The kid is wicked talent. His wonderlic score sucked, but he can play football.

I was just making a funny.

I don't dislike Herm at all, nor do I think he's stupid (like many "fans').

Regardless of his coaching career, I think he's going to be an outstanding GM someday.

Hell, he might be already.

Ultra Peanut 04-26-2008 10:54 PM

Manningham may be dumb as a rock, but I would be thrilled to snap him up in the third freaking round.

If we drafted Dixon in the 6th or so, that would be nice. At the very least, he could maybe convert to WR.

Yea, Manningham is a stud WR. I hope the Chiefs get him tomorrow. He's got all-pro potential. For a third rounder that's worth taken a shot at, IMO.

It's not just that he admitted to smoking pot. Aquib Talib admited it as well and he was still selected in the 1st Rnd. Manningham lied to every team at the combine by denying it then wrote letters to the teams saying he had smoked it but was scared to admit it in the interviews.

CHENZ A! 04-26-2008 11:37 PM

If all were talking about is pot then so what then we should just get Manningham if they think he's that good. I know he was pretty damn tough in college

It would be tempting to put an athletic and physical WR opposite Bowe....

I'm betting we TRY to replace Allen with one of the first three picks on Sunday....a stud DE who's underrated, but scouts are raving about....

Avril, or Ellis....would be my first pick on Sunday if they are available....

That's not saying a whole lot. He sounds like he's got an IQ of 74, but he's really got an IQ of 82. Go W!

Brian Johnston and Bubba Caldwell

Stewie 04-27-2008 08:06 AM

Considering our three spots and who else has needs and picks before us, I think our 3rd could look like this:

Early Doucet WR
Tyvon Branch CB
Chris Ellis DE

JohnnyV13 04-27-2008 08:15 AM

I like a couple of small school DE's:

Eric Bakhtiari
Rudolph Hardie

and a little DE from Georgia Tech:

Darnell Robertson
