KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Friday that the club has agreed to terms of a three-year contract with CB Michael Bragg. As per Chiefs policy, no other terms of the agreement were made available.

Bragg (6-1, 183) returns to the club’s 53-man roster after being promoted from the practice squad on Oct. 11. He spent four weeks on the 53-man roster before being released on Nov. 6 and subsequently rejoining practice squad the next day. He spent the first four games of the 2006 season on the Chiefs practice squad after originally signing with the club on Feb. 21. He initially entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the N.Y. Giants in 2005.

Bragg completed his collegiate career at Texas A&M - Kingsville with 36 tackles, four interceptions, two fumble recoveries and 10 passes defensed. He earned first team All-Lone Star Conference South Division honors as a senior, recording 25 tackles, three interceptions, a fumble recovery and nine pass defensed.

The Lakewood, Calif. native was a three-time All-America selection in the long jump for the Javelinas after beginning his collegiate career at Cerritos Junior College. Bragg was a prep standout at Mayfair High School in Lakewood, Calif.

Benny Sapp, a reserve cornerback, didn’t practice because of a sore hamstring. Edwards said if Sapp couldn’t play Saturday, the Chiefs might activate another cornerback, Michael Bragg, from their practice squad.
