And with that, we have reached signature #40.... Getting there |
Signatures by County
Jackson 24 Clay 8 Cass 6 Lafayette 2 Johnson 0 Ray 0 MoDOT did just respond as per Platte County, as well as people who work in these counties but don’t reside there. I’m just going to copy and paste their position... The signatures of Missouri residents supporting Mr. Delaney’s designation shall be from the counties which touch Jackson County, that said, the counties accepted are Jackson, Cass, Clay, Johnson, Lafayette and Ray. The reason for this requirement is it validates the support of the memorial for residents living close to the proposed route within in their community. * Even though there are individuals who reside in Kansas and work at a business location within Kansas City, this designation is a Missouri state roadway and not a Kansas state roadway. The signatures must be that of the individual’s primary residence within Jackson, Cass, Clay, Johnson, Lafayette and Ray Counties. Signature of Missouri residents will only be accepted. Business address may not be substituted for the supporter’s primary residential location. —————— Wish there was better news to report but that is their position. As has been mentioned before, Platte County residents can still if you want send signatures and we will just add to the list of 100 valid signatures as a symbolic cherry on top.... |
Dat Danan Hughes RT has arrived.
We on the way, boys! |

With the 41 grassroots signatures we have so far:
Jackson 27 Clay 9 Cass 8 Lafayette 2 Johnson 0 Ray 0 The KC Star ipetitions has 6 (out of 8) which are valid signatures also. Also comes word that the Chiefs - via the Chiefs Ambassadors, plan to soon/shortly put something on their social media. If it’s the Chiefs social media, this will explode. If it’s Chiefs Ambassadors, then they have a Twitter feed known as Kansas City Ambassadors which has a relatively decent size platform.... |

You are welcome to send in your own signature as when this is all done I shall be sending in the 100 eligible signatures but also in separate email signatures from other Missouri counties not eligible and even out of state signatures. They won’t count but just want to emphasize the message of how widely approved and supported this project is. Wish we could get some fellas in from Ray and Johnson County. It’s surprising neither has had a single signature. We have signatures from Dallas County and Clinton County in Missouri but it won’t unfortunately count. |
