From the "baseball players are so superstitious, its hilarious" department...

Remember that mouse the players saw and were chasing in their clubhouse before the game? Well, apparently Liam Hendricks caught it, put it in a box, and took the mouse into the Royals bullpen before the game.

After they came back and won the game, the Royals players started calling it the "rally mouse".

Well, OK. In that case I hope they get a cage and take that mouse with them on Tuesday. I don't think the mouse has super powers, but if the players think its good luck, then thats probably a good thing for them to have with them.

Would Tuesday be the wildcard game vs. Oakland?

Its still mathematically possible that it could be KC vs Seattle or Seattle vs Oakland, or Detroit vs Oakland, or Detroit vs Seattle.

but, yeah it would be.

I'm not gonna start the Saturday game thread, but I will probably do Sunday. Also, I'm only going to start the Wild Card thread if its not in KC.

Any idea on the time KC would (presumably) play Tuesday? I have a meeting Tuesday night at 7 :(

NO MICKEY MOUSE OPERATION

There was quite a scene in the visiting clubhouse before the game. Royals RHP Liam Hendricks was on all fours while leading the charge to capture a mouse hiding in one corner. He eventually trapped it in a box and took it to the bullpen for the game, with the players dubbing it the "Rally Mouse."

Hendricks hopes to find the same mouse -- or another one -- before Saturday's game and keep it in the bullpen.

"Whatever works, man," manager Ned Yost said.

No, TBS is gonna take their sweet damned time to officially settle on a time.

The TV Listings are saying 7pm, but I don't know if that means anything.

(It makes sense though, when they have 1 or 2 west coast teams and no east coast teams, then they usually have it at night to maximize the ratings)

I'll pick ya up on any day you don't make. You planning on going to the game in KC if there on Tuesday ?

Both wild card games started at 8 PM ET last year. I think at worst... if the game is on the west coast, maybe it starts at 9 ET instead?

yup, I have tickets for the WC game and also game 3 of the ALDS.

If the Royals make it to the ALCS I'll probably sit out because these postseason tickets are so expensive, but if by some miracle they actually get to the World Series, then obviously it will be mandatory to go to at least one of those games.

Did anybody see Chris Sale yesterday? He was indicating that the Tigers' hitters were being tipped off pitch locations from centerfield.
