Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports the Arizona Cardinals are close to completing a deal to trade CB Duane Starks, for a third-round draft choice in 2005, to the New England Patriots.

I thought they didn't jump into the FA market.

Now where did I hear that?

Starks is a talent when he's not injured. This could be Corey Dillon part II and knowing the Pats luck it will be.

Exactly, im sure he will be a Pro-Bowler next year. bank on it.

Not a bad deal for the last third round pick. You wonder if the Chiefs could have done it for a 4th and 5th.

Yeah, makes you wonder why a three time champions would be involved in the FA market if it's truly only media/agent driven demand of supply. :hmmm:

Why would a team like the Patriots bother appeasing fans, media, agents if there is little worth?

The Patriots should pay more attention to what the Patriots do. Everyone knows that CBs are irrelevant now.
