Are my chances pretty slim for getting home opener tickets?
 

I had wanted to drive out for the Philly game but due to the fact that I'm getting married the day before I won't be able to make the drive in time. Do you think I'd be able to pick up four tickets off ticketmaster in the Field Box Section for the Jets game?

When do tickets go on sale? I tried getting tickets to the Vikings/Chiefs game two years ago and I think it was sometime in June/July.

I'd say your chances are zero to get 4 tickets in club level for the home opener. Those are even tough to score off Ebay. Your best bet will be in the upper level.

The Chiefs website calls them Field Box, Club Level, Upper Box, and then Upper Reserved.

I'd settle for Upper Box but It's my first Chiefs/NFL game so I'd like to get the best I can.

It depends on a lot of variables. Tickets go on sale to the general public in mid-july.

Just buy tickets from scalpers outside the stadium 30 minutes to an hour before kickoff. I've never paid more than face value at a Chiefs game doing it that way.

This dude is driving 12+ hours to get here. He's not gonna take that chance.

As others have said, it's really tough to get four tickets in the lower levels. I've sat in both lower and upper levels, and have yet to get a seat with an unacceptable view.

I think the best part of the experience is showing up early and tailgating with the thousands of other Chiefs fans. Whenever the Planet parties at B5, it's a good time.

I guess I'm lazy. When I come from out of town to see games ('bout once a year) I don't really mind paying $100 - $150 for lower bowl tickets.

but will scalpers have four tickets seated together. I just figured that since it was the home opener that it would be tougher than normal.

Pick some off of Ebay.....cake walk.

I have 4 together I will sell you at face if you also buy a preseason game at face. At worse you sel the preseason game on ebay for 1/2 price and you still come out ahead of buying from a scalper.
