Vasectomy: Anyone on the planet had one?
 

Thinking about getting one. My wife and I have 3 kids and not sure if we want more. Anyone had one done and is it painful?

Birth control and the use of a condom regularly seems to be the less painful route.

We've conducted similar threads in the past. Surprisingly, everybody on the Planet had great experiences with theirs. However, every person I know in the non-virtual world had some complications. I don't think it's going to be an option for me due to that.

Don't do it!!!!! it's their last bastion of power over you. Once they make you get your vasectomy, you are useless to them......run...run away as fast as you can.

Heh, it seems we have one of these threads every few months. The thing that hurts is when they have to stick the needle in your sack several times to inject anesthesia. Once they get enough in there, the actual procedure shouldn't hurt. It took me 10 days for the pain to completely go away. Had to call the doc and ask for another prescription for painkillers. Use bags of frozen veggies to sit on to keep from swelling up.

Of course, there is always the possibility that your testicles could swell up to the size of a grapefruit. But I don't think that's very common. Most of the time, this procedure goes off without a hitch. Don't be a sissy, get it done.

I am assuming peas would be the veggie of choice and not corn on the cob. :hmmm:

Had one 29 years ago, no problems. Drove myself home. Drank a case of beer, no pain. Back to work the next day.

I say give a mandatory vasectomy to every Planet member upon his 10,000th post.
