NCAA College Football 2006

I picked mine up last night. I am loving the "Race for the Heisman" feature, but I can't stop anybody on D.

What does everyone else think of the game? I was hoping the College game would have the vision passing so I could get a leg up on that for when Madden 06 comes out.

Desmond Howard on the cover?

JUST turned it on!

UGH. The first intro video it played was BOOMER SOONER. Thats it. I'm taking this piece of shit back.

BTW, here is my new cover for the game...(Drew Tate)

The faster speed of the game is a nice improvement and the run blocking is much improved which is nice but way too easy for the better rated RB's to break tackles. Overall all it is great as always from EA but the ease of breaking tackles leads to a crazy amount of 50+ yard TD scampers. That makes it exciting but not realistic.

It reminds me a lot of Madden 2004. It's a jailbreak on offense.

The first game I played, my QB threw for 400+ yards, and about 4 TD's. That's not counting the 100+ I rushed for with a couple of TD's. And that was on Varsity. Bad thing is, the opposing QB threw for more than I did.

In the Race For the Heisman mode my created RB ran for 899 yards in my first game...I had a little shake in my day but I wasn't even that good in my own mind. :D

I love the new passing game, as last years passing for NCAA was terrible. The CPU plays smarter then years before. I really havent had a chance to play Dynasty because I spent the morining playing RFTH, which I like to a certain extent. I think I am going to sim 4 years with my guy and use him as a coach and then put him into Superstar mode on Madden.

LOL! Yeah that's ridiculous. I'm finding that the option is close to unstoppable. Madden 05 really stepped up the D, and cut out all the completed triple covered bombs, 900 yard rushing days, and Vick running for a 1,000 on you from the QB position in one game.

Obviously NCAA hasn't went that route yet.

That would be a sweet idea. I'm never that big on the college games, but for some reason I wanted to pick this one up. I've liked what I've seen so far from it.

For some reason it always seems NCAA is always a step back from Madden each year...I dont know if they do that on purpose to make it feel more collegiate.

I do love the new Impact players this year, it is how real college football is, the allstars for each team always stand out, no matter how bad the team is.

I do like the impact player thing. I also like where you can pump up your crowd when your at home. I would love to see Madden bring that to the table. I got a guy to miss a PAT in OT online because I was jamming on the L2 so hard.

Yeah, I like the home field advantage too...nothing better then going to AggieVille and trying to call an audible only to see your WR throw up his arms because he cant hear you. Love that.

When the camera starts to shake, I got a little uneasy the first time it happened.
