Madden NFL 2006 help needed badly ...
 

So it goes as I've been strugglin to stop the Pass in Madden NFL 2006 and Im wonderin if anyone could help me on how I could stop it.

First game of the year, played the Jets, Coles, McCarriens, and Blaylock all had 100 yards in the game against me.

The Raiderz, Moss had 180 yards receiving on me, couldnt stop him worth a damn.

Fianlly the Broncos, Jerry Rice had 156 yards against me and Smith had 71 yards against me.

I run all the defenses, 3-4, 4-3, Nickle, Dime, Quarter, whatever defense there is, doesnt matter what play I call I still cant stop the pass.

Any ideas here on what I could be doin wrong ?

Not sure if you noticed, but Moss actually DID put 170 yards up on us... not that far off, if you ask me.

I am ranked #1 in league in pass defense through week 13. I am ranked #1 in run defense as well. #1 overall. I have DJ playin lolb, Bell, ROLB, and Mitchell MLB. I blitz alot, especially DJ when there isnt a Tight End lined up on DJ's side I usually blitz him, He has 31 sacks right now. my record is 10-2. I usually run a 4-3, a nickel when there is 3 WR's and dime when there is 4. Man to Man coverage, I usually blitz DJ and Bell. Mitchell at times.Thats how I stop the pass.

What's your secondary depth chart? Is this the same team over on the other forum where you traded away half your secondary?

Oh yeah, I also (on offense) run the ball alot and that takes up a lot of TOP. Holmes averages almost 30 carries a game. Johnson has 5 a game.

one more thing..also if DJ doesnt blitz and hes not supposed to cover anyone but a RB, I usually have him run the middle of the field, that way they dont ever complete passes on me over the middle 10-15 yards. DJ also has 8 INT's.

31 sacks all in his rookie season, seems too unrealistic.

My starters are Surtain and Battle has CB. Wesley and Knight at Safety. Traded away Warfield and McCleon cause I wanted some faster corners, cause Warfield and McCleon were gettin burned.

For Battle in only one of his games as a starter has he got burned and thats against Denver.

Plus after 3 games Patrick Surtain had 5 Int's and Eric Hicks has 6 sacks.

hey, it works. and Im on All-Madden yall cant f**k with the DJ. The most Ive had in one game is seven.Hes so fast on the game. Just line him up right outside the DE, and take a slant towards QB. Like this /. It works all the time.

I've tried that before. RG picks up Hicks and then the RT picks up DJ.

Doesnt work for me, but maybe im not doin it right

well if that happens, um shift the D-Line to where the Tackle will have to block Hicks.Then the RG will probably block Sims...free shot to QB.

Well I may suck at defense but at least im 4-0 after 4 games. Julian Battle just made the game winning pass deflection, cause i was only up by 6 if they had caught it i would've lost.

The game I just played Derrick Johnson had 8 tackles and 2 sacks, Kawika Mitchell 6 tackles, and Rich Scanlon had 4 tackles.

I know Scanlon is the man, but why is he in there? did you create him or is he on there? DJ has 92 tackles, 20 TFL, 31 sacks, 8 INTS, and 8 passes defensed through 12 games.
