Possible "new" computer... Good? Bad?
This is a very budget system, I still tried to get quality stuff, though...
Thermaltake Case (Steel + Plastic, 2 120mm fans) Aspire 500W PS AMD 64 3000+ Venice 939-pin Asus A8N-SLI nForce4 1 GB PNY Optima PC 3200 RAM PNY Geforce 6600 GT 128 MB Seagate Baracuda 160 GB HDD (7,200 RPM of course) NEC 16x DVD Burner/etc All of this plus keyboard and headphones from Newegg is $805 Now, I can get pretty much the same exact system (minus keyboard and headphones and the PS is 450W), already assembled for around $840 from www.cyberpowerinc.com Except there I get a free copy of HL2, wich I would probably sell for around $30. Should I buy all that from Newegg, or are there better places with better deals, or should I save myself a shit ton of trouble and just get the system already assembled (of course, I have no idea what parts they use, the specs are the same though)? Any help would be appreciated. |
Kingston HYPER X 1GB PC3200 400MHz 2x512MB HyperX DDR $89 (10 dollar rebate)

that system will run all current games. F E A R and Quake 4 type games will have to run at low rez and features. All in all a pretty nice budget pc. I would go with an Antec case/psu but i'm not a thermaltake fan.
