Official NFL Release: No Live Broadcast Outside Of Team's Markets
Sorry if this is a repost but I don't have the time it would take to wade through all 40 other threads on this subject (including my own ;) ).
This sucks. Pretty sad when even the NFL doesn't know when they're going to re-broadcast an old game... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/8986609 Chiefs-Dolphins game moved to Oct. 21 (Oct. 20, 2005) -- The game between the Miami Dolphins and the Kansas City Chiefs was rescheduled to Friday night, Oct. 21, to beat Hurricane Wilma's arrival in Florida. The game will begin at 7 p.m. ET instead of Sunday afternoon, which is about when Wilma is expected to hit Florida's southwestern coast. NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said broadcast and television details were being worked out. It's the third time since the start of the 2004 season that the Dolphins have rescheduled a home game because of a looming hurricane. Last year's home opener against Tennessee was played a day early because of Hurricane Ivan, and the Dolphins' Week 3 game with Pittsburgh was pushed back 7½ hours by Hurricane Jeanne. Moving the game to this Friday night will enable emergency personnel and others in the South Florida community to focus on preparing for the approach of Hurricane Wilma. CBS will televise the game live to the Miami and Kansas City primary and secondary markets, which are WFOR/Miami, WPEC/West Palm Beach and WINK/Ft. Myers in the Dolphins' area, and KCTV/Kansas City and WIBW/Topeka in the Chiefs' territory. For customers of Sirius Satellite Radio, the game will be available live on Friday at 7 p.m. ET on Channel 121 for the Chiefs' radio broadcast and Channel 131 for the Dolphins' broadcast. On NFL.com, fans can follow the GameCenter live on the scoreboard, or listen to the local radio broadcast of the game via the Field Pass subscription service. (Field Pass is available on a seven-day free trial basis for first-time subscribers.) A tape-delayed telecast of the Dolphins-Chiefs game will be shown nationally on NFL Network on Sunday night, Oct. 23, at a time to be determined. |
They should have said this from the beginning instead of turning it into an unknown chaos.

Exactly. If you're going to move the game you'd think that they'd have put a few moments of thought into how they were going to address this aspect of the move before actually announcing it. Of course, they'd counter that this IS the announcement and that everyone else just jumped the gun or was passing out rumors. Either way, it doesn't help me any... |
Actually I think this was the announcement they made earlier this afternoon...

So we don't even get to watch it at noon on Sunday? fucking c#cksuckers. :cuss:

The deflector shields around the ticker was a warning that no matter how rosy it may appear, never believe deep enough to experience heartache. They will rip your heart out and hand it to ya before ya fall, just like Chuck Norris. Sorry about the confusion. Dinny |
