Well, I finally found the actual reason why we can't get the game outside of local markets.

fucking High School and college? Who gives a fuck about that? The only people that care about high school and college games aren't going to skip them to watch this game anyway. fucking fuck. How can the people running a mother fucking billion dollar company be so fucking incompetent? Jeezuz fuck, I would have rather gone on thinking their was stupi obscure law that was fucking me rather than know it was the NFL's on fucking stupidity.

That is part of the anti-trust agreement, not something the NFL is doing for college and high school football out of the goodness of their hearts.

If they are adhering as closely as possibe to the spirit of their longstanding policy not to conflict with high school and college football why the hell did they schedule an NFL game at 7 o'clock on a Friday night?
BTW-My chat with a rep from Direct TV could have become a pissing contest real fast had I not taken a deep breath and remained calm. When I told him that it was my belief when I bought the package that I would be able to get all NFL games that weren't locally televised with my Sunday ticket subscription, the smartass replied "That's why we call it NFL Sunday Ticket, not NFL Friday Night Ticket".

I thought you farmed that out to me. Oh, well. I still think CBS owns the rights to the game regardless of when it is played. I can't see why CBS couldn't show it if they wanted to do so. Can the NFL sell a company a product and just take it away as they see fit? I doubt it.

Ok here is what I think that I'll do. I am going to call Direct tv and tell them that I'm taking my motorhome to KC and ask them to switch my local channels to KC locals for the week. Of course I'll unplug my phone from the main dtv reciever first. I'm pretty sure it'll work, my folks do it all the time in their 5th wheel.

On the bright side, Ricky Williams is still stoned.

He was just on NFL Network saying that since they don't have a Sunday or Monday night game, this is their chance to get out to a national audience ans "make a name for themselves" ROFL

If the NFL were actually worried about the HS and college games they wouldn't have rescheduled a game to the time they would be playing. NOt that it was going to happen, but they could have moved the game to KC just as easily and caused much less of a situation with those that will be evacuating the area starting tonight.

Their anti-trust gambit is a bit self serving.

I don't guess HS Freshman games count then cause they play those on Mondays. Bunch of Contradickive bastards :cuss:
