I'm not one to bitch about this site, but why is it every time there is a game on the board goes into Matrix mode?? I would think there is higher volume during other times? Why only on gameday?

as i said on another thread... switch to 580 out of topeka.. it works MUCH better.

IMO, there should be a minimum-post requirement for logging on during games. Too many friggin n00bs gumming up the works, and it isn't fair to those of us who've always been here and contributed to the site's operation.

The quicky-yet-technical answer is that the CP server is built using an IDE hard drive. Which is a less than ideal HD technology for such volume. Too many calls to the hard drive and each takes too long to fulfill... which slows the board down to a crawl.
