I just started playing it last year and it's blast. It makes watching the other games that I normally have no interest in fun to watch. I've got two teams going this year.
But I was just wondering when it was invented, although it does sound dumb, I'd also like to know if anyone knows who invented it as well. And we know Al Gore DID NOT invent it so you save those comments http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/smile.gif |
It's been around for at least 15 years because I remember my dad being in leagues when I was a kid.
|
Longer then that. My barber has been in the same FFL league since the 70's.
|
I had no idea it's been around that long.
If anyone else has more details I'd appreciate it. |
I'm sure it has been available in one form or another since the beginning of Pro Football popularization.
Obviously it's become widespread since the internet made it so simple to play.... |
I knew Gore would get credit for this somehow. http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/smile.gif<BR>

algore was inventing the GI Joe with a Kung-Fu grip duing the preliminary developement phases of FFL. He digressed ownership for exclusive rights to the new GI Jane doll with rocket knockers..
|
Around that time, Dubya was inventing the "snort coke out of a prostitute's butt-crack" maneuver!! http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
|
The first I heard of it was the early 90's, Miller (as in beer) ran leagues, kept scores n such.
|
by coincidence, Kiszla at the Denver Post ran an article about fantasy fb with history...take it for what it's worth since he is like Whitlock and tends to talk out his a** most of the time http://www.denverpost.com/scolumns/kiz0928.htm
