Why was TG so open?

One thing I kept noticing yesterday but I have yet to see anyone comment on was how open Gonzalez was in that game. I'm used to seeing a team of players around him everytime he's on camera but several times yesterday he caught passes in wide open field.
Is there anything we were doing differently that was springing him open or did Houston just decided the didn't need to cover the legendary #88?

The Texans weren't bumping him off the line of scrimmage. Bad coaching on their part.

The Texans gameplan was to "let Gonzalez get his yards" and keep LJ to under 250 rushing yards. They executed perfectly.
