I no longer want an offense-first head coach. I think we need a defense first head coach who brings with him an offensive Guru Coordinatator. That's something Marty never understoond (until he got to SD). I'd like to see Herm Edwards and Al Saunders, or Mike Martz...

But looking at the league there are way too many successful D teams with stong OC's.

Patriots, Colts, Cowboys, Bengals...

I know people see Herm as Marty 2: Electric Boogaloo... but I'd be OK with that if he was able to keep Saunders (or bring in Martz) as OC.

It's called reaction. Reactionary movements are almost always extreme.

When you have a coach like Marty, you want a coach like Vermeil.

When you have a coach like Vermeil, you want a coach like Marty.

Once we find a coach that's moderate and balanced, we'll realize we didn't want Marty or Vermeil.

Edwards and Martz. A perfect combination of ignorance and stupidity.

Well, then, I consider you an offensive defensive homer.

Ron Rivera DC for the Bears to be our HC. Mike Singletary to be the new DC. OC, I'm not sure just yet.

Yep, it looking like we are going to be going back to a defensive oriented team again with a bad offense. Thats worked out real well in the past.

I want a coach like Vermy. Or maybe Marteil.

In the short amount of life experience I've had, I don't think there is an axiom that has been true more often than the one above.
I suppose that means it's not well followed or understood.

Funny how things come full circle like that.

God I hope not... we have a great RB weapon and a good (if aging) QB. We have a few great components on the OL. And we don't (or as I qualified it, wouldn't) have the stooges running the offense this time.

Belachick is a defensive coach with a guru for an OC and offensive talent.
Dungy is a defensive coach with offensive talent (don't know if their OC is a "guru").
Marty finally has a decent OC and some real offensive talent in SD and it's working.

I think the Jets would have been a competive team this year if they had anyone at QB.

If we don't find someone to develop behind Trent, our team is going to suck going forward.

Al Saunders is doing the Rope-A-Dope to all Chiefs fans. He had LJ-Cool-Pimp subtlely call him out for the cute plays, when all the while AS is bellying up to the coaching bar. Next few games, we will see a ground game that will last night look like a routine thing for LJ.

AS is the next head coach of the Chiefs, with or without Carl Peterson. Watch an OC job go to Norv. Norv will get canned by Al Davis, and Joe Gibbs will want to greet him with open arms. Carl Peterson will hire Norv just so the Skins won't have him. It's a back atcha Eagles thang.

You know what's really wierd, is I want Randy Moss in a Chiefs uniform.

I just want a good hard nosed coach who can apperciate both sides of the ball ala:
