digital imaging software

looking for a good photo editor that has an EASY to use red-eye removal feature. a blue-eyed daughter makes for many red-eyed pics. and yes, i have photoshop, but am a novice at it. i imagine once i start playing with more than just red-eye fix, i'll use PS. but for now, i want quick and easy. and preferably a pgm that does not alter the original date the photo was taken (i need this for upload)...

i've tried A LOT of them, so tell me whatcha got... thanks!

p.s.> preferably FREE or shareware, but willing to pay for good editor +

For basic things like red eye, croping, and other basic things you may be able to try something simple like Picasa2 or irfanview, both freeware.

Also, there's a Photoshop red-eye tutorial at http://graphicssoft.about.com/librar...n-psredeye.htm so you can learn how to use what you've got. :)

good PS tutorial. i just tried it. boy that's a lot of work for red eye. and after all that, i got grey pupils.

read up on redbot. looking forward to trying that when its back online.

picasa isn't too particular on where it cleans up red eye and it seems to overlap the eyelids a lot.

d/l xnview the other day. will try it.

have used and recommended irfanview for years and years, but did not know it had red eye removal. will d/l most recent version and check it out.

thanks!!
anyone else?
